Marketing Content & Thought Leadership Executive

Marketing Executive – Thought Leadership, Content & Industry Engagement

Birmingham (Hybrid)

This is a role for someone who takes writing seriously.

We are partnering with a highly regarded organisation operating in the Property market. Their work shapes industry conversation, influences policy discussion, and reaches a wide, professional audience. As a result, how they communicate matters.
They are now looking to appoint a Marketing Executive who can contribute to that voice not through volume, but through clarity of thinking, quality of writing and strength of positioning.

The Opportunity
This is a content-led role with real visibility. You will play a key part in shaping how the organisation presents itself across industry media, owned channels and events.
The position is weighted towards thought leadership and written content (circa 60%), alongside exposure to PR, campaigns and events.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality written materials including press releases, articles, newsletters and opinion-led content. Much of this will involve taking complex or technical subject matter and translating it into something that is both accessible and credible for a professional audience.

Alongside this, you will support wider campaign and PR activity, identifying opportunities for commentary, contributing to media engagement, and helping to position the organisation within key industry conversations. You will also play a role in supporting events and roundtables, ensuring content and messaging are aligned and commercially relevant.

This is not a background role. Your work will be visible, externally facing, and directly associated with the organisation’s reputation.

Applicants will have the ability to:

Write with structure, clarity and intent and someone who understands how to shape a narrative, not just produce content. You should be able to take a topic, identify what matters, and communicate it in a way that is both engaging and credible

A natural interest in current affairs, policy, infrastructure or the built environment will be important, as will the ability to quickly understand new subject areas and translate them into meaningful content.

You will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, drawing out insight and refining it into clear external messaging. Attention to detail is critical tone, grammar and accuracy are all taken seriously.
