Excel Careers and Excel Interim provide multilingual administrative support staff to companies across all sectors, specializing in profiles such as Receptionists, Management Assistants, Executive / Personal Assistants, HR Assistants, Sales & Marketing Assistants, Office Managers, Customer Service Representatives and Digital Marketing Officers. We provide both permanent and interim contracts.
We are currently recruiting a Legal Recruiter/HR Specialist for one of our clients, an international law firm located in the center of Brussels.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
Recruitment
• Support end-to-end recruitment processes across EMEA, from attraction and selection through to onboarding and qualification.
• Act as a key liaison for candidates and internal stakeholders, ensuring a seamless recruitment experience.
• Coordinate interviews, assessment centres, vacation schemes, onboarding, and offer management.
• Assist with drafting job descriptions, defining candidate criteria, and advising on recruitment strategies.
• Engage and manage relationships with search firms, universities, career services, and student societies.
• Promote employer branding initiatives and support graduate recruitment marketing campaigns.
• Maintain consistent standards and a high-quality candidate experience across all offices.
• Track candidate data and prepare recruitment metrics and reports to assess effectiveness, ROI, and diversity.
Professional Development & Talent Management
• Coordinate training programmes, mentoring schemes, orientation, and integration initiatives.
• Manage logistics for development programmes, including scheduling, materials, updates, and feedback tracking.
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and training calendars.
• Support trainee/intern lifecycle processes, including mid-seat and end-of-seat evaluations and qualification requirements.
• Assist with associate evaluations, retention initiatives, and career development programmes.
• Prepare reports and metrics to evaluate development initiatives and ongoing lawyer needs.
General & Operational Support
• Collaborate closely with Managers, Directors, and the wider HR team to ensure aligned and seamless service delivery.
• Provide regular updates and escalate matters where appropriate.
• Promote diversity and inclusion initiatives and support related projects.
• Assist with visa coordination for trainees, interns, and secondees where required.
Your Profile:
• Relevant experience coordinating recruitment programmes within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong academic background.
• Exceptional time management and prioritisation abilities.
• Highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German and/or French language skills are an advantage.
• Experience working in a high-performing, international, multi-office setting.
• International perspective with strong cultural awareness.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a consensus-driven environment.
• Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
