HR Business Partner – UK Restructuring Programme (12-month FTC)

We are searching for an HR Business Partner to join an industry-leading construction business on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting a nationwide restructuring programme. The role is based in modern offices in central Birmingham City Centre, with occasional travel across the UK.

This is an opportunity to make the role your own. We are looking for a confident, commercially aware HR professional who can take the lead on a large-scale restructuring programme across the UK.

The Role
  • Lead and deliver restructuring activities, including redundancy, redeployment, and internal role changes.
  • Plan and support meetings with managers and employees, from initial briefings through to formal consultation processes.
  • Draft letters, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, including change management and organisational design.
  • Work collaboratively with leadership teams to align workforce planning with future growth strategies.
  • Manage your workload effectively, adapting to peaks in activity and supporting project administration where required.
*Please note: occasional travel across the UK is required.

You Will Need
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or HR Manager.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering redundancy and restructuring programmes end-to-end.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility at all levels.
  • Confidence working independently within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach, with flexibility to support both strategic and operational HR activity.
  • Experience within construction, logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments is highly advantageous.
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent professional experience) preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
