Business Development Executive

Exciting opportunity: Lead Business Development Executive!

A highly regarded, global organisation working are looking for a driven, pro-active Lead Business Development Executive to join their team.

This strategic-growth role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Developer with a strong analytical mindset, capable of representing the front end of the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) process, working independently to achieve objectives, and establishing strong, trusted relationships.

The Role
  • Identify UK companies that meet acquisition criteria to expand the M&A prospect database.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and social media to engage and qualify potential targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders using CRM, marketing insights, and research.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to generate new leads and expand network connections.
  • Conduct first-line interactions with companies through phone, video, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Coordinate the progression of qualified leads into actionable acquisition opportunities in collaboration with the wider M&A team.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in lead origination, business development, or B2B sales roles.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to engage and build relationships with senior executives.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Skilled in online research, CRM, and IT tools; proficiency in Microsoft Office is an asset.
  • Excellent conversational and presentation skills, capable of leading engaging discussions with business owners and inspiring trust.
