A great opportunity is now available for a HR Onboarding Team Leader to join the People Services Team within the International People Operations function, based in Birmingham city centre.
This hybrid position currently requires working on-site in the Birmingham office three days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of 4–5 talented People Operations Administrators.
- Collaborate closely with a supportive group of People Operations Team Leaders who share knowledge, ideas, and best practice.
- Be the go-to expert for the Onboarding & Admin hub and play a key role in shaping an exceptional employee experience.
- Take ownership of the internal ticketing system, prioritising urgent requests efficiently.
- Delegate tasks effectively and guide your team in managing priorities with confidence.
- Produce insightful weekly reports that help drive decision-making across the business and People Management Team.
- Ensure new starters experience a seamless onboarding journey.
- Lead meaningful projects and oversee workload that contributes to continuous improvement.
- Review data accuracy and provide constructive feedback, encouraging team development.
- Coach, mentor, and upskill team members to deliver a customer-centric HR service.
- Help resolve escalations, finding a solution to improve outcomes.
Prior Experience:
- knowledge of HR Service functions is a definite advantage.
- Previous experience working in a shared HR services environment.
- A real passion for ensuring employees experience is central to what you do.
- Prior experience working as a team leader, or a supervising role.
- Confident in using onboarding systems, or HR modules.
- Beneficial to have familiarity with managing employment screening processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
The ideal candidate would need previous experience in successfully onboarding new starters, ideally within legal or professional services and advanced experience working with Microsoft Office programmes.
