We are currently recruiting an Accountant for one of our clients, a bank based in Brussels.
They’re seeking a detail-driven finance professional to safeguard the accuracy of their financial data and keep their operations running smoothly. You’ll be a key figure in managing reconciliations, processing payables, producing financial reports, and ensuring their activities comply with applicable regulations and tax rules.
Salary package : monthly salary in line with experience. (max €4000)
The role is inclusive of, but not limited to :
- Transaction Balancing & Regulatory Adherence
Oversee account records with actual transactions, promptly investigate irregularities, and ensure all entries meet required compliance standards
Coordinate the intake, verification, and processing of vendor bills, tracking each stage to guarantee timely settlement
- Expense Monitoring & Ledger Adjustments
Supervise supplier costs and overhead expenditures for our Brussels, Paris, and London offices, comparing figures against forecasts and making account corrections when needed
- Official Record Maintenance
Keep statutory accounting books—such as journals, inventory lists, and invoice registers—fully up to date and in line with legal obligations
Take on special projects or ad-hoc assignments as delegated by your manager to assist in the overall efficiency of the finance function
Essential Skills and Experience :
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar discipline (significant banking experience can be considered in place of formal education)
- 2–3 years’ professional accounting background
- Strong command of Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication skills in English and French (Dutch knowledge is a plus)
