Excel Careers and Excel Interim provide multilingual administrative support staff to companies across all sectors, specialising in profiles such as Receptionists, Management Assistants, Executive / Personal Assistants, HR Assistants, Office Managers, Sales & Marketing Assistants and Customer Service Representatives. We provide both permanent and interim contracts.

We are currently recruiting an Operations and Logistics Assistant for one of our clients, a friendly family business, based in Brussels.

Salary package: Monthly salary in line with experience.

The role is inclusive of, but not limited to:
  • Coordinate the transportation of goods via various modes, including road, rail, barge, and container shipping.
  • Handle negotiations with providers to obtain optimal transport rates.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Sales Department.
  • Act as a liaison with clients, vendors, and logistics partners.
  • Oversee order processing and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and manage inventory records.
  • Review shipping, customs, and insurance documentation for accuracy.
  • Audit and validate supplier and logistics invoices.
  • Organise and maintain physical and digital filing systems.
  • Perform routine clerical duties and assist with documentation.
  • Prepare and process sales and procurement invoices

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Interested in working within a hands-on, operational environment.
  • Proficiency in French, English, and German is essential; Dutch is a plus.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a strong desire for growth.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and Customer Service skills.
  • Flexible, multi-skilled, and dependable with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Organised and methodical in handling tasks.
  • Capable of managing pressure and shifting priorities effectively.
