A warm and welcoming family is seeking an experienced Driving Housekeeper to join their household in rural Dorset, just near the Dorset/Somerset border. This role offers the perfect balance of housekeeping duties with light childcare, making it ideal for an all-round professional who enjoys both domestic work and assisting with children. The family has two children, aged 11, who are at school all day. The position will involve managing the household’s daily cleaning, organization, and light cooking, alongside overseeing the children’s after-school needs, such as school pickups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organization of the home.
- Light cooking, preparing meals for the family when needed.
- Light childcare duties such as school pickups and ensuring the children’s after-school routine is followed.
- Occasional overnight stays if the mother is in London for the night.
- Overseeing the general maintenance of the household and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in private housekeeping.
- Full UK driving licence and a reliable car, as school pickups are part of the role.
- Strong spoken English and communication skills.
- A flexible, approachable attitude with an ability to work independently.
Ideally based around the Gillingham/Templecombe/Tisbury area for ease of commute.
