Junior Billing Assistant for an International Law Firm

Excel Careers and Excel Interim provide multilingual administrative support staff to companies across all sectors, specializing in profiles such as Receptionists, Management Assistants, Executive / Personal Assistants, HR Assistants, Sales & Marketing Assistants, Office Managers, Customer Service Representatives and Digital Marketing Officers. We provide both permanent and interim contracts.

We are currently recruiting a Billing Assistant for one of our clients, a law firm located in Brussels.



The role is inclusive of, but not limited to :

  • Maintain expertise in the Firm’s billing systems and tools
  • Collaborate with Client Service Lawyers for timely billing and collections
  • Support and review Alternative Billing Arrangements
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of time and expense entries with Client Billing Guidelines
  • Generate and finalize bills as per attorney and client requirements
  • Create ad hoc reports for attorneys and clients
  • Manage Electronic Billing platforms and invoice submissions
  • Monitor client pipelines and update the Pipeline Control System

Essential Skills and Experience :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective team collaboration within the department and Firm
  • Commitment to professional growth and department goals
  • At least two years of experience in Legal or Professional Services Billing; Aderant Legal Billing preferred
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
