We provide both permanent and interim contracts.

We are currently recruiting an Office Manager for one of our clients, a law firm based in Brussels.  Salary package : monthly salary in line with experience.

Overview: The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, administrative, and financial functions of the Brussels office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Reporting to global leadership, the role involves managing office facilities, budgets, HR functions, and compliance with local regulations while fostering a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Facilities:

  • Liaise with building management to ensure maintenance, safety, and compliance
  • Manage vendor relationships, office supplies, and service contracts
  • Lead office refurbishments and relocations, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Maintain health, safety, and fire regulations, keeping policies up-to-date and staff trained

Finance & Budgeting:

  • Oversee the office's annual budget, approve invoices, and monitor expenses
  • Manage local payroll and coordinate billing and collections with the finance team
  • Ensure cost-effective financial practices and track budget variances

Human Resources:

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and staff training in coordination with global HR
  • Administer employee benefits and maintain compliance with local employment laws
  • Promote positive morale and teamwork through engagement initiatives

Leadership & Administration:

  • Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
  • Ensure efficient office procedures and maintain documentation within firm’s systems
  • Organize office events and manage general administrative tasks

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years in office management
  • Fluent in English and French or Dutch
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with financial management and HR
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
  • Previous experience in Law Firm is a must
